L'ESPLUGA MUSEUM ROUTE:
 |
 |
L’Espluga of Francolí is a town with a wealth of museums. That is why the Museums have created a combined ticket, which for a reasonable price, allows you to visit three very interesting museums.
La Cova de la Font Major: Large cave museum from the Neolithic, which is the source of the river Francolí and where you can find out about the life of our ancestors.
The Museum of Rural Life (Museu de la Vida Rural): A great collection of the most significant aspects of rural life, together with a series of dioramas depicting rural life itself with great sensitivity and realism.
Wine Museum (Museo del Vi): It is a modernist winery of great architectural interest owned by the agricultural cooperative. You can see the various aging processes in this small wine museum. At the end of the visit, there is wine tasting. |

POBLET
 |
 |
Poblet is the largest monastery in the Cistercian Route and has the only existing community of monks of the two which have male orders. It is a key element in the history of the Crown of Aragon. Founded in 1150, its development was interrupted in 1835 as a result of deamortization. When the monks returned to Poblet in 1940, an ambitious restoration and conservation Project was started, which has given the monastery the splendour it deserves.
You can begin a guided visit at the Royal Door through the rooms that make up the old cloister.
The Poblet monastery is the largest inhabited Cistercian complex in Europe. In the Algiers meeting of 1991, UNESCO declared it a world heritage site.
www.poblet.cat
You can buy tickets at reception for Poblet and the 2 other monasteries that are part of the famous Cistercian Route: Santes Creus and Vallbona de les Monges.
THE CISTERCIAN ROUTE
It is the most interesting sightseeing route in the region. The route is 100 km and runs through Poblet, Santes Creus and Vallbona de les Monges.
The route we recommend starts at Santes Creus: You take the road that goes from Montblanc to Valls. Once in Valls, you go to Vilarodona to the junction indicating the Monastery of Santes Creus.
Next, you visit Vallbona de les Monges: You have to go back to Valls and go to Sarral. Once in Sarral you go towards Tárrega-Andorra until you find the Vallbona intersection. “If you go Vallbona from L 'Espluga de Francolí, take the Senan road”. From Vallbona, go toward Montblanc and Poblet to visit and then return to Villa Engracia.
If done in one day, you must take into account that the Monasteries close at 13:00 and open at 15:00 until 18:00. If you go in the afternoon, you’ll be lucky to visit two Monasteries. |
ROMAN MEDIEVAL TARRAGONA:
 |
 |
The city of Tarragona, a World Heritage Site, is only 45 minutes from Villa Engracia.
It is well worth the trip as is the visit to noteworthy Roman sites, such as the Amphitheater, The Circus, The Forum, The Praetorian, The Walls and some medieval structures, such as the Cathedral. For meals, we recommend the Cocvla restaurant at the Hotel Urbis Centre. |
COSTA DAURADA BEACHES
 |
 |
Just 30 minutes from Villa Engracia are the numerous beaches of Tarragona's Costa Dorada, such as la Llarga, Arrabassada, La Mora, Waikiki and Roca Plana.
They are characterised by their fine, golden sand and their pine groves that almost reach the shoreline. There are beaches boasting every service, along with totally unspoilt beaches. |
FONT DEL FERRO
 |
 |
The features that we maintain and that date from past eras, offer the place a nostalgic touch. Examples are the Font del Ferro that date from1815, which can be accessed via the garden, and the old chapel, attached to the main building. Actually it will be in process of convert in a meeting and banquets. |
THE CERAMIC AND GLASS ROUTE:
 |
 |
There are four villages in the region that host ceramic workshops.
Senan: Lluís Soler and Núria Alba’s ceramic workshop offers a blend of aesthetic and plastic design in conjunction with work that reflects the artist’s personality.
Solivella: At Teresa Ripoll and Jordi Catalá’s workshop, you can find a great variety of ceramic pieces in conjunction with a variety of decorative and utilitarian elements with elegant lines and soft colors.
Fores: At Natalia Ferré and Llorenç Pla’s Cal Pots workshop you can find ceramic work that expresses the author’s spontaneity and originality.
Vimbodí: There is a museum where its master craftsman makes everyday objects in view of visitors. |
WINE ROUTE:
 |
 |
In the village of L' Espluga and its surroundings, there are four places where there is wine tasting and you can purchase wines and natural oils.
Bodega Rendé Masdeu: You have direct contact with the producer when you visit this winery. He will explain the process of making wines, which are prestigious in the area, such as Cabernet Sauvignon.
Bodega Mas Foraster: It is a young company that offers wine tasting and sells wine in the Catalan farmhouse, which houses the wine cellars.
Bodega Carles Andreu: Its facilities were renovated in 2004. This winery has a wine sampling and tasting area and a shop where you can buy its products.
Bodega Clos Montblanc: Located in Barberá de la Conca, known for its pride in the land to which it belongs and a job that incorporates an ancient tradition, while applying the latest knowledge in viticulture and enology.
Bodega Mas Vicenç: The winery is in the family farm, a traditional Catalan construction, which merges the old and young vineyards and wineries use the most innovative methods of southern France. |
INTERIOR PATHS
 |
